Stripey Brunch Blues
Brooklyn and I coordinated in summer striped blues for a family brunch on Saturday. Brooklyn’s dress is a cold-shoulder cutie that my mom got her last summer from Marshall’s. It was too big for her then, so this was her first time wearing it.
My dress, a Who What Wear for Target piece from last season, is a sleeveless button up number with a waist sash, and asymmetrical hem. I’ve worn it to work before with a pair of mules, and with flats for a day out with the girls, so it’s super versatile. This time, I paired it with a straw fedora (also a Target find. It’s actually a men’s fedora—don’t be afraid to shop the store outside of the women’s department!) and Brooklyn and I wore our mommy and me Adidas to finish both our looks.
While I normally might’ve done a crossbody bag with this look, this time I added my backpack with all of the mommy things, and it worked perfectly too, especially in tandem with the sneakers. So much fun with this coordinated casual moment!
