Posh Beauty // Almonds for Inner AND Outer Beauty

Ever since I completed the

Whole30

last year, I've been obsessed with almonds. I was never much of a nut person prior to that. Which, when I think about it, is interesting because my mother goes nuts (pun intended) for them no matter the type. I would occasionally crave peanut butter or the rare tablespoon of butter pecan ice cream, but other than that I would pass. But something about having to experiment with them again really turned my taste buds around and now I do almond everything: almond butter as a substitute for peanut butter, almond milk as a sub for dairy, almond meal as a sub for flour--you get the point.

But what's most exciting about this little miracle food is how many benefits it has for health and beauty. I used it

with pumpkin in a DIY facial mask

and my skin was instantly refreshed and moisturized! Here are some other ways that almonds are amazing:

For Skin: Full of Vitamin E (an antioxidant), almonds help prevent sun damage and keep the skin hydrated. (

why my skin felt so great after the mask!

)

For Hair: As a rich source of Vitamin D and magnesium, almonds provide strength and luster to locks.

For the Body: Almonds are a good source of protein and fiber, which helps you feel fuller longer. They also contain mono unsaturated fatty acids, which can help reduce cholesterol and LDL.

So,  how can you benefit from almonds if you don't want to eat them on their own, but you're also not into all the DIY masks and cooking ingredients? It's so easy!

One of my favorite brands of snacks is

KIND

, and they happen to make two delicious natural bars with almonds:

Almond and Coconut

and

Almond and Apricot

. They're sweet, but not overly so and they're filling. They're also dairy free, gluten free, low glycemic and non-GMO so no matter your dietary restrictions, you'll probably love them too.

Toss them into your bag

or keep them in your desk, for an easy way to get all the great benefits from almonds, for your insides, within an arm's reach.

And for your outside? Try

L’Occitane en Provence

Almond Supple Skin Oil

and

Almond Milk Veil

, both of which use almonds sourced from Haute Provence to nurture the skin.

There are so many simple ways to benefit from almonds for inner and outer beauty! Which one is your fave? I'd love to hear about it in the comments!
