Pantene Truly Naturals haircare line
I always loved using Pantene shampoo and conditioner when I was a teen and in college. I loved the packaging and the product itself always felt luxurious--even at such a reasonable price. And then I transitioned to natural hair, and began looking for products that were specifically geared toward natural hair. You can imagine my excitement, then, when I was given an opportunity to try out the

It is rare that I shampoo/cleanse my own hair (I did it for the first time at 29. Don't judge me!), I generally go to a stylist. But I'm lucky to have a stylist who loves experimenting with product and she was also excited to try out the
line. I purposely didn't tell her about any of the features and benefits because I wanted her 100% honest professional opinion.
And she loved the products!
The
smelled super yummy and fruity--like apples or pears. And in my stylist's professional opinion:
[It has] great lather. It's clarifying, but not stripping and doesn't make the hair hard. [The] product feels soft and [your hair], moisturized to the touch.
Per the

It's a detangler, which is great for natural hair. [It] penetrates the hair shaft well and rinses well/leaves no film. Hair feels very soft.
(and my 2 cents, it also smelled fruity and amazing!)
After sitting under the dryer with deep conditioner for about 15 minutes, my stylist rinsed it. She was impressed that my hair still did not tangle after the deep conditioner was rinsed out, and that it was soft and easy to blow dry without combing through first.
The
was the final finishing product and gave my hair a beautiful, healthy sheen.
Overall, my stylist had this to say about all the products:
I'm impressed! [Your hair] feels good. Pantene has really come a long way!

And, because I'm not sure if I've mentioned the amazing scent enough, I'll state that my hair smelled sooooo good when it was finished. The fruity scent lasted for at least 3-4 days after! Delish. But more importantly, I want to point out that Pantene seems to have hit the nail on the head with these products. Without even knowing what the primary benefits of the products were, my stylist was able to pull out the distinguishing properties of each one. I'll definitely be using these products again, and I recommend that my fellow naturals do so as well.
