Leather has always been major for fall /winter, but--with the exception of some amazing fully leather pieces--it's been mostly for outerwear and accessories. This season, more than ever, designers are finding ways to add leather accents and trim to every day pieces, taking them from simple and giving them a story. A sweatshirt never looked so good until it got a little leather on the shoulder. Black leggings went from basic to contrasting fabrics and panels that pop. I am loving this trend (as you can see here), and all the avenues it creates for mixing tough and classic into a very chic cocktail.
