Stylish Summer Night Out

With the impending bachelorette weekend of one of my good girlfriends, I've got 'summer night out' style ideas on the brain.

While I plan to recycle something that's already in my closet, I definitely have a case of the 'I want something new' blues. So, I'm still looking for inspiration this week for ways to wear an oldie but goodie in a fresh, stylish way.

I was thinking of something similar to the outfit above, but I wonder if color isn’t a better option for a summer night out...

What do you think? Should I go for the LBD with color and sparkle via accessories; or should I wear something in a brighter hue?
