Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall Collection Preview

Louis Vuitton has just released the preview of their Pre-Fall Collection and Style Pantry has the photos!

I am enamored with this collection. Skirts, flirty attention grabbing dresses, tweed, knee socks: *sings “these are a few of my faaavorite thiiinggs!!”* The tweed in the first two photos has a serious feel but then the length of the skirt paired with the knee socks/over-the-knee socks scream playful. I’m a sucker for the shirtdress and I love both of the ones featured here—the paneling on the black and white plaid and the western inspired piping on the second one that’s styled with the sweater and skinny striped belt. I really admire the strength in the pieces but how they’re softened with little details like a pleat here, or a severe A-line cut there. Is it horrible if I say I like this mid-season collection better than the last runway collection?? That’s of course not to say it wasn’t genius, but this just speaks more to my personal aesthetic.
