Wear Classic with Pops of Color for Spring/Summer
I have a wonderful older brother who was born on May 5th, and this year, we celebrated his 50th on Cinco de Mayo! My amazing sister-in-law threw a semi-formal surprise birthday party for him here in Baltimore and my interpretation of semi-formal for the evening? A classic black LBD (Little Black Dress) with pops of color for spring accents!
The best part about an outfit based around the classic LBD is you can carry it into the hot summer months too. It’s not mandatory to switch over to the LWD (Little White Dress) for summer if you feel more comfortable in black. Just choose lighter fabrics to help you stay cool. Keep the sweater, like I added, for an indoor affair; or ditch the extra layer and go all out with colorful shoes and jewelry for an outdoor evening event! I am loving the tassel trend, if you can’t tell!
