Posh Weekend Plans + Weekly Link Wrap Up {vol. 7}

Happy Friday Lovies! I hope you have had the most wonderful week. Mine turned into a 3-day work week (for the 9-5 anyway) due to an unexpected power outage in my office building and I am always grateful for tiny unexpected, but pleasant surprises. Excited about the next few days because my Honey will be in town on this cold and snowy weekend and I am obviously over-the-moon thrilled for dates and snuggling with that guy. I also have a ladies' breakfast to attend on Saturday morning which should be quite lovely.

But enough about me--here's what I think you might want to check out based on my fabulous finds around the interwebs this week (and if you're on the East Coast they might be perfect reads for a cozy weekend in). If you'll allow me to share, here goes.

Wendy from Wendy's Lookbook did a whimsical, but laid back video this week on the art of pairings with a gorgeous draped jacket. Not only does she show you how she styled the inspiration jacket, but she shows off how to get the look for less as well. What more can a style hungry viewer ask for?

The Fashion section of Telegraph (the UK based online pub) published an intriguing piece featuring Oscar de la Renta, his history with the former First Ladies of the US and his recent endorsement of previously outcasted designer, John Galliano. There are delightful little nuggets of Mr. de la Renta's history involved, as well as my favorite quotable, "Style begins by looking good naked. It's a discipline. And if you don't dress well every day, you lose the habit. It's not about what you wear, but about how you live your life." Excellently stated, sir.

One of my favorite bloggers, Natalie of The Tiny Closet, has returned to posting after a move out to sunny Cali, and she is already showing off how she's remixing her style. I love the casual at home outfit she is showing off here--it looks totally comfortable but has undertones of sex appeal as well, don't you think? It reminds me that I want to continually improve my 'kickin' it around the crib' style too.

And finally, my dear dear fellow East Coasters, don't let a little inclement weather shut down your penchant for style. Slip into those wellies, layer vibrant primary colors a la Sarah  from Classy Girls Wear Pearls in the photo above, and step into that snow with sass!

Love love magic magic to you! Until Monday.
