Ruffled and Racerback | Style Savvy Weekend Rewind

I inhaled so much great food this weekend that I couldn't WAIT to get up this morning and get in a workout. LOL. But it was totally worth it. My sweet cousin Tionah graduated on Saturday from Morgan State University--my alma mater, so I was doubly proud--and her graduation dinner was held at Houlihan's. I've eaten at Houlihan's before, but had never tried the dishes I tried on Saturday, and boy was I missing out! If you ever decide to dine there, I highly recommend the goat cheese and artichoke poppers with fresh thyme and lemon zest; the Parmesan frites (fancy french fries); and the seared scallops with lemon asparagus risotto and baby greens. All were absolutely delightful. I literally could NOT stop eating the lemon asparagus risotto and ended up stuffing myself silly.

We enjoyed perfect dress weather this weekend! For Tionah's graduation ceremony I went with this striped number with ruffled top and racer back from Francesca's. I belted with my wide black patent leather belt from White House Black Market, slipped into my polka dot peep toe pumps and topped it all off with my favorite yellow cardigan (which I swear I must wear once a week, but I just love it so, and it goes with so many things in my wardrobe!). On Sunday I attended an awesome private, ladies only vision board tea, hosted by the fabulous Cylia Lowe of From Theory To Practice, a boutique consulting firm dedicated to "empowering you with the tools you need to unlock your potential." I think it's really important to know what you want, to set actionable goals, and to have someone to help you be accountable for all the little steps it takes to achieve said goals; so working on a vision board in a group environment sounded like a fantastic idea. Food, supplies, great energy, sound encouragement, a raffle and parting gifts made this an all around awesome event.
