Favorite Fashion Ads of 2010


Refinery 29 published their list of 2010's Top Fashion Ads. Included in their 10 are 3 of my most favorite ads of 2010--the ones that made me pause every time they appeared in Vogue, to examine every minuscule detail of the clothing, styling and set. They're just simply amazing in every way possible.

 The most intricately, casually layered group of tailgaters I have ever seen. My inner prep adores this shot as well as all the accompanying ones.

Marc Jacobs is one of my most favorite designers to see in pictures--this is most certainly a departure from his black tee shirt, kilt and combat boot wearing days....but I'll take it ;-)

Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2010—Christy Turlington, Karen Elson, and Natalia Vodianova shot by Steven Meisel

Quite possibly my most favorite ad campaign ever for I am infinitely obsessed with 50s/60s fashion and the demure ladylike, yet sexy affection of the dresses with their tight bodices and full skirts. And elbow length gloves? Yes, please--any day of the week.

 This unaffected autumn stroll for coffee, while impeccably dressed, is a portrait of how I picture coupledom--though I'm not sure how my much future man will enjoy being decked out in his infinity scarf and hard leather shoes for such an activity. We'll have to work on that.
